Mk1 Golf 1.6GL convertible

It's with a heavy heart that I'm selling my car. I have a VW van and a motorbike too and somethings gotta go. A £1600 bill from the CSA doesn't help either.

I've had the car a year and used it every single day. It starts first time every time. Silver with black hood.
It's taxed and just passed it's mot (LONG MOT…)the other week. It's had some new panels and paint over the years (before I got it.) I have some pics of the car the previous owner gave me showing the wings and door skins being replaced.
It's got BBS alloys THAT HAVE JUST BEEN PROFESSIONALLY REFURBISHED - BLOODY GORGEOUS!
I fitted a CD player and remote central locking/alarm and immobiliser. I have a huge history file full of bills etc.
I removed the filler neck, cleaned and re-painted it. I also changed the fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel reservoir, fuel pump and had the Weber carb professionally stripped and rebuilt (receipts available) due to bloody rust in the tank!!!! It also had a service at the same time (plugs points oil and filters etc. I also changed the sump gasket as I suspected an oil leak. It doesn't use oil or water at all. I have a few spares including a radiator if needed. The roof was replaced in 2001 and I've treated it to several coats of Renovo roof seal in my ownership. The interior is in perfectly presentable condition but the rear seats would benefit from a clean.

I'm looking for £1500 for the car. It's a very reliable and practical everyday car with mega cheap insurance too, as its not a gti.
I would recommend a viewing and test drive, I'm based in Redcar in the north east of England.
