Mk1 golf 1.1 w/ suicide doors spares or repair, project

I havent had much luck braking my car so i am just going to sell it on as a project for someone or for spares or repair.

It has a 1.1 engine which i have recently done the cambelt on which has been running but the ignition timing needs adjusting, the vehicle is on 83732 and the engine is believed to be the original one.

The car has been involved in an accident to the rear end at some point and the rear panel has had a bit of filler in it to repair which has now cracked, the inside of the boot floor is kinked as well where it has had the bump.

Due to the bump the car tends to sway a lot when driven so would need a strip down and rebuild or would be good for a lot of parts to build up another car.


Good parts

lowering springs front and rear (one set at least is H&R)
Front Mk1 GTI Calipers and vented discs
Gti Steering wheel
Smoothed de-wipered boot
De locked, and de handled suicide doors which run off the poppers (side repeaters pop the door open)
Single wiper conversion on the front
Remote start alarm system with door poppers on a two way alarm with a range said to be up to 1000m
Side open bonnet with the latch moved to drivers side still operating off inside pull lever
Cabrio bodykit which has been smoothed as well, with the front indicators moved to lower bumper grille
5x Tarantula alloys with a few on goodyear tyres and enough tread to get through an mot
The wheels are in need of a refurb i have rubbed down one ready to be finished and primed up.
A set of old rusty steels it came on.
A black carpet set
Dashboard (some heater switches missing)
Glovebox lid with key (needs the bracket it clips onto)
Complete Glass with no cracks
working rad with temperature sender and fan working
Handbrake works well
Electric windows
Smoked rear lights
comes with front headlights and brackets
Auxillary water temp gauge


Bad points

as said above the bump in the back makes the car a little unreliable when driving.
There have been some bad patches under neath which will need repairing
Rooflining is hanging down at the back but elsewhere is all okay
Will need a front panel if you are fitting round lights again or will need the brackets re welding to the panel
where some panels have been resprayed before there are a couple of runs which are not noticable from a distance
no tax or mot
Oil leak from sump gasket and cam cover gasket
No seatbelts
Tracking is slightly out
The car no longer has the black side trim
Rust hole in the spare wheel well

If needed the car can be seen running although it doesnt like to idle very well


I have an interior for the car which inlcudes front and rear seats which are in leather and suede these are not included in the sale but are available seperately.

Looking for £450 for the car, i am not looking at part xchanging at the moment as i have another project to finish.


If the interior is wanted then price will be £630 in total

I have a pair of englemann wing mirrors if wanted as well price will be £660


Reason for sale is that i wasnt looking for a project as big as this one, and once i noticed the problem with the back end i have decided to sell it on as it may be of more use to someone else.


Ideally looking at getting the car sold asap so am open to sensible offers on the car
