Mk1 Campaign Black, spares or repair
Hi, following a MOT failure my black campaign is up for grabs as a whole soon, just wanted to try a feeler on here.
Spec.
Engine - standard except for a Piper 185 race cam and Pulley, there is an oil leak, a cosmetic dent in the exhaust manifold and the gearbox seal needs replacing. The ccolant pipes could do with replacing due to their age also.
Wheels - BBS RA's (15") and all new rubber less than 250 miles on them (just firestones I think though)
Brakes - 280mm and drums, BUT the brackets are not correct so you will need to replace them, and the disks and pads need to be renewed.
Bodywork - The car had a good respray a while back with a previous owner, there are a couple of parking dents on both rear quarters each a bout the size of a ten pence, and a dent above the bonnet catch. otherwise mint.
Interior - standard but missing a parcel shelf, drivers seat has minor wear, tiny racing steering wheel (can't remember the make), guages oil and water temp in console but not correctly wired up.
Suspension - Coilies, about a year and a half old.
There is some brake pipe corrosion on the car but the major reason for a MOT fail is a rust hole in the rear chassis, it's a rear-axle out job to weld it up!
The car also has Upper strut brace, rear strut brace with steel plates, de-locked de wipered tailgate and that is all i can remember right now.
I have a private plate on there, so once that is transfered and the DVLA assign it's old A-plate it is up for sale. Car is located in Hindhead.
rear strut brace (interior is now standard)
exhaust ( some kind of can, can't remember what ops:
Stickers how now been removed…
that's all i can remember right now.
I haven't got the time, space or tools to break this so it's being sold as one lot, in parts it's worth somewhere near a grand, but I am hoping that rather than break it someone will buy it and sell off the modded parts to return a factory spec mk1 to the road. For a person who has the time, this project will pay for itself. anyway, this is a feeler, so if your interested get in touch please via email or PM.
Sad day. ops:

Wasn't you selling a mk1 recently as long as the buyer had all the resto done by you or by someone you know?

Speeding is like masturbation, everyone does it ,but it's not something you should record and put on the internet!!

I am going to start the process of retaining the plate through the DVLA on monday unless someone makes me an offer that includes the plate. If I sell without the plate then it becomes a more viable financial level for a restoration. It is one of the last campaigns.
With the plate:
The plate is valued at ?800 to me, so will sell on regtranfers.com for about a ?1k+ I guess? If anyone wants to make me an offer on the car and plate do it soon!
Without the plate:
I will happily show anyone around the car in person once i have retained the plate and have the new V5 stating the new A-plate. I can't say fairer than that, offers gratefully received upon viewing the car, silly offers need not be wasting their time.
Timski, and others who have PM'd me you will all get a PM once I have that document.

Here is the most recent pic I have, please note that the baby blue trim swage and sill trim has been removed. I still have the trim, but removed it in anticipation of some black shiny ebay items that never materialised!

So, as soon as this is done, people can view the car. I forgot to ask about how long it will take, but I'm guessing it can't be long, so watch this space!
