Mk1 Caddy 16v (UK)

The time has come for me to reluctantly sell my mk1 after 7 years of ownership.
It was originally a 1.6 petrol, I stripped it down to a rolling shell and spent the next 6 years building it back up to what you see now.
I had it on the road for the first time last summer, but it spends most of its time wrapped up in storage at my work. At the moment I cant justify keeping two vw's on the road.

The shell had done 140,000 miles and the mk2 16v donor car had done 111,000 miles. The donor car was a well looked after and clean car and was a shame to take the engine out, but I got it cheap and knew the engine was good.
Starts and runs fine, no knocks or strange sounds, no leaks at all, no smoke, and idles fine. In the caddy it goes very well indeed :D

Exterior

Full respray in two tone early air cooled vw colours, chrome - bumper, grill, window surrounds, wing mirror, wipers, A-Pillars, swage line (from germany), front mud flaps, door handles. Clear rear lights, clear headlights, pressed plates, 13" polished alloys with new continental sports 175/50/13,  new windscreen, armadillo sump, under body cleaned and painted, small duck bill spoiler, 4 piece sliding rear window,

Interior

Full brown interior, mk2 dash clocks (all working), vdo gauges oil pressure, temp, battery gauges (all working), old style pull through seatbelts,

Engine & Drivetrain

Mk2 golf gti 16v KR engine, stripped down to a long block only (compression was good on all four cylinders), built back up with new gaskets and seals all over, stainless bolts fitted where possible, new cambelt, tensioner & oil cooler, smoothed polished rocker cover, polished inlet manifold (50mm), new bosch silver battery, wrapped ashley 4-1 manifold, full powerflow stainless system (lifetime warranty) with hidden back box, new throttle/clutch cables, new clutch last year, new handbrake cables.

New fuel lines throughout (steel braided), new 22mm master cylinder, new brake lines throughout, willwood adjustable rear brake valve fitted in cab, mk2 golf rear disc conversion, all calipers re-built with new seals and painted red, new discs & pads all round, new wheel bearings all round, flipped rear axle on 2" blocks, blasted and painted fuel tank, fk coilovers, beetle rear shocks, poly bushed front end, new wishbones, new ball joints, new top mounts

It has a few small bits of rust bubbling up in a couple of places, and the bottom of the rear bed is showing signs of surface rust.
I thought I'd be honest and show pictures of it-

The caddy is located in Torbay, Devon.
I will be putting 12 months MOT and 6 months tax on it next week.
The clocks are currently showing 112,000 miles, this might go up slightly if the sun ever comes out :)

The price is £4,500, open to sensible offers
Or px if you have a late T4 TDI 888 special.

Many thanks for looking, any questions please ask.
