hi there i have a mk1 cabriolet with the 1.8 carb engine on an E registration plate, finished in metalic grey, small bumpper model, no mot or tax, this vehicle has been stood for the past year and a half as i planned to restore the vehicle but lack of time and money meen i have to sell, it currently dose not run due to a flat battery and obviously i would of thought the petrol that was left in the tank will have gone stale by now, i also have my doubts as to wether the car would move as it has been stood for such a long time, prior to takinng the car off the road i was using it as a regular runner for over a year and apart from a few carburetor issues and a sticky throttle cable it ran pretty nice, the body work is in a fair condition there are a few rust patches one under the near side door mirror, another small patch around the lipped edge at the bottom of the near side door and a patch on the off side rear quarter undernaeth the moulding, it also looks as though the previous owner at some stage rolled into a post of some sort as the bonnet and the front pannel are slightly dented in ( nothing major) i currently have a set of tsw 15" wheels on it (not my choice brought the car with them on,i personaly think they look hiddious on it) but do have a set of mk gti 9spoke alloys which i will add to the sale (these will need a refurb and new tyers), i also have a 1.8 gti engine taken from a mk2 golf with a cam kit, ecu, and metoring head as well wich the buyer would be more than welcome to have but would need to collect themselfs from where im storing it (5 miles from where the car is kept)it has the standard grey/ charcol interior in it all in good condition and electric windows, it has a black hood on on it with a white interior lining and glass rear window, the hood is in realy good condition with the only leaks coming from the front corners where it meets the winddscreen ( personaly spoken to many cabby owners and havent found one yet that says theres dosent do this). !
