Got this at start of this year, has run pritty much faultlestly since i got it, ive rencntly done the head gasket, cam belt, tensior etc, new filters and oil etc

i drive 45miles aday for work, im always late and always drive fast, other than 2 times its let me down (thu my own fautl!) its been amazing,

the 2 times its let me down…

1st,
i pulled the head as it had oil in the water, but it was the water cooling oil cooler which has broken internally common prob with these.. not that i knew that… ie there was no issue with the head, ive now reverted to the earlier style air cooling oil cooler, so it can never happen again!

2nd,
i was driving with a bust water hose and a dodgy thermostat… without me knowing then i cooked it, ive since re-done the head gasket, and had the head skimmed etc… all is fine now!

other than these two issue's the first one being my bad fault finding skills! theres been no problems with the car at all, its recently been MOT's and has 11months left, its TAX is up end of Feb 2010, current milage is 170K, but it still pulls like a train!

it came with littrally thousands of pounds of recepits, its had a respary in the 90's as well as a new hood, the paint coms up fairly mint with a good wash, its not mint it has afew stone chips and sliighly bubbleing in afew places, the only bad bits of the body work is the d/s lower door, d/s rear front wheel arch bit bent, the d/s rear wheel arch lower pannel is showing signs of rust.

structurally as fas as im aware, its had no welding for MOT's etc,

the only other bit which lets the car down is the interior,the drivers side seats bolster has ripped thu, and genernarlly the interior is pritty grubby i would think a good interior clean would bring it up mint

in the time ive had it ive added a sony radio/tape deck upfront with 10disc autochanger in the boot, as well as 2 6"x9" speakers, it sounds pritty good for a soft top!

£1200 ono for quick sale, its not the greatest time to sell a car, esp a cab! but ive just bought a van, need this gone, but worst case, i'll hang on to it for another summer!

this is the perfect car for the winter, warm and still fun on those rare sunny days!!
