Mk1 specialist garage completed the engine conversion to a Mk2 Golf KR 1.8 16v with manual transmission.
This has also been fitted with Power Steering as part of the conversion. The car has had an extensive list of new parts (1.5 years ago):

Fuel pump carrier
Fuel lines
Ashley 4 branch manifold
Gearlinkage bushes and links
Cam belt
All fluids and filters
Custom Airbox
PAS System
Shocks and springs
Clutch

I have also added;
Cat2 Immobiliser
'Longlife' exhaust (6 months ago) which has a lifetime warrenty that is transferable to the new owner

Suspension: 40mm Lowered , suspension is firm but comfortable
The Drive: Nice and tight, drives just like a 16v should - a great all round drive
