This is my beloved Mk1 Gti, After its served me well for a long time , its time to part ways, It was an amazing Daily driver, and somthing that did me proud
At many Dub Shows.

Prior to my ownership she had been lovingly cared for and during her stay with me i have enjoyed and spent many many hours
giving it most of my time and energy, like most things , familys grow and now i have an estate to move the otherhalf and little person about.


Anyways quick history..

Bought the Car which was statdard as they come


as much as i vowed never to touch her i noticed that things needed replacing, so a few modifications were intoduced


These are Coilovers all round, cant remenber the brand but i know they were not cheap, she rides at a respectable height
Engine was showing signs of its age so the tempation of dropping a audi 80 bubble block in was also on the agenda..
if you are in the know, this looks excatly the same as the old lump, also 8v but now larger bore upto a 2L
To go with the engine i had a stainless steel manifold and full jettex "the silent performer" system put on..

which in all honesy gives a slightly lower note, when using lower revvs but gives a nice rasp when under heavy acceleration…


Lots of smaller things like wheel refurbishment and braking parts. copper lines , pads, drums , disks have all been replaced…

The car served as my weekly commute from Tunbridge-Wells to Banbury, 240mile round trip, it did this easilly for over a year,
so as you can imagine most of the recent milage has been motoway miles.

With all these little Golfs there are some signs of wear, the car is in very good condition, but been sat for a couple of months, it needs a good home

Points that you need to be aware of

Fuel filler is Rust Free, it was replaced 6 months ago
There is a pained over rust patch on the sunroof
sunroof inners are rust free
lower sill on nearside has a rust hole as the box section reaches the front wheel arch
Area below windcreen as a few bubbles
area round the passenger door handel has a repared section thats a slight missmatch on paint colour and blend.
All of the underside of the car has been black Waxoiled This has been done yearly…
