Mk 1 golf gti for sale

Mk 1 golf gti, 6 Months tax, MOT till end of april 2008. There is lots of history and recipts with this car and loads of old mot certificates. I had it serviced when i brought it a couple of months ago and had the cambelt changed at the same time. It comes with ronal turbo r10 wheels with nearly new tires on. The wheels are in great condition. It has bilstein suspension front and rear and also comes with a spare set of bilsteins. It has a sony cd player and loads of spares as listed below. As you can see from the pics, its has the red surround around the grill which i understand is quite hard to get hold off. From looking over the car and also having it over a pit, from what i can see it looks like a very solid example of a mk1 gti.I will be sad to see this car go, but as i am now travelling a lot more for work, its not that practical. I have been using it as an everyday car and its never let me down.

its not that far, i was down in southampton the other day. Only a couple of hours. dont think you would be dissapointed!

If only the missus would let me have it :roll: , I'd snap yor hand off..
Just what i want, but with a floppy top, a caddy and a retro mkII she's saying no..    Plus its a couple of hundred quid more than i got at the moment

You planning to be down this way again in the near future? In the Golf??
How many miles has it got on it?
Why you selling after only a few months?
I would be checking all the areas listed in the buyers guide for rust, so any thing I (& others) should be aware of before making the trip?

i was only down there helping a friend move. i checked all the usual places ie, spare wheel well, over the fuse box, round the top mounts on the front suspension. It has had a plate replaced where the clutch cable comes through though. underneath is all solid and undersealed.
