Description: Mark 1 VW Golf Cabriolet Clipper 1800  1990 'g' reg
Is this one of the best?

This has to be one of the best mark 1 golf convertibles out there.  It has had a bare metal respray, always been black in colour.  The seats have been re-stuffed (I use seat covers all the time).  It has had a brand new roof in black and unusually a brand new head liner in black better than the standard white one.  The car has the original karmann factory body kit. It has also had a new exhaust and has the eyebrow at the front and german style number plates.
The car has had new suspension and has been wax oilyed with the suspension off the car.  It has refurbished 17 inch wolf race alloys with low profile tyres. Flip off front cd/mp3 player and electric aerial with new speakers front and rear.  hood is non electric.

The car has an Mot till march next year and is taxed till the end of September.  It is in daily use and is my only car.  The V5 is in my name.
I bought the car from a friend of mine that was in a bit of a pickle with his business and needed money.  The car used to be owned by a guy we knew that lived around the corner.  I have to have a sensible car for work, so will need to buy another car, am picky but you could try me with swaps, px etc but I am 40 and with all due respect would not want some of the cars out there.
Always been serviced, runs like a dream.

am away from 30th may to 7th june so might not have much internet access, also on e bay if you a seller search   ingm80

* Someone interested in the car has told me that there has been an insurance claim made against the car.  I have not done a HPI check and there is nothing recorded on the V5 (special notes).  Obviously the first thing that i did was call the previous owner and ask him, apparently when the car was stored last winter something fell on it and damaged the roof and the glass.  The insurance company said that is was beyond economic repair, presumably as they did not think it was worth much, so he bought it back from them and repaired it.  I have 2 receipts for roofs, he put a new one, this was the one that was damaged and then put another one on and a new headliner.  The new glass was sourced from another car.  The car has not been in any crashes or anything like that.
