you do realise that when you put a 1.8 engine in you have to declare it??! so you couldnt insure it as a 1.5. (sorry ill stop butting in now)  :D

The one thing that puts people off in "For Sale" ads, is dishonesty. The trick of fitting a bigger engine and not changing the V5, suggests this. My recommendation is that you sort out the V5 and change the details, then pay the extra road tax owable, then re-advertise it. We can lock and/or remove this ad if needs be.

PS Also you can't really advertise it as a GTI. Its a non-GTI, fitted with a Mk2 GTI engine.
