K plate clipper cabrio with BBS RS's

SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD

Hi Guy's reluctantly for sale is my 1992 MK 1 Clipper Cabrio .I am selling my car as not going to have the time to drive or show it this year due to other commitments and already have 2 other cars so don't want it sitting all year in the garage.

The car was first registered  on 01/08/1992 and is the clipper cabrio model with the 1.8 carburreted engine not the injection. The problematic carrburretor has been replaced with the weber conversion and runs sweet as a nut.The car has had 6 previous owners which is quite low for a cabrio as people tend to change them more regular when used as a summer car only.I have run it through the winter previously with no problems but rested it this year as had 2 other cars.

The car was motd this morning with a clean bill of health and sailed through no problem 16/05/2009.

There is no tax on the car as was declared on sorn  on 01/09/2008 after the Bathgate show.

There is an insurance category approved alarm immobiliser with approved certificate fitted .This is a Sigma S34 and was installed on 05/11/2006.

The car has central locking which is controlled via the sigma alarm immobiliser plip and also has electric windows and roof which operates perfectly.

The bodywork is in excellent condition with no dings or dents .There is also no rust and if being really honest the only paintwork requiring attention is the front panel behind the front bumper which has the usual stone chips if this was painted it would be perfect.

The interior is also immaculate and has no rips ,tears or burns. All the speakers are original and nothing has been cut or drilled.I'm not a massive sound system guy so didn't want to change anything but again if being honest the original speakers could probably do with renewing . The stereo is a kenwood KDC-3024 and is as single cd player  (50W x 4) and suits the age of the car nicely a bit old skool looking not to modern. The clock display is broke but could easily be sorted.

Also interior wise is a MOMO CORSE steering wheel which isn't available to buy any more .This wheel is 23 years old and was bought by my mate originally and has been used in numerous cars but is still in great condition and very rare to find.I still have the original wheel and will include this in the sale but may remove the momo wheel if the price i'm looking for isn't met.

I fitted BBS RS spit rims since buying the car these comprse of RS 012's 7J x 15 et38 on the front with RS 70's on the rear 7J x 15 et 16 with larger 1 1/2"lips fronts are the standard 1/2"lips and have 5mm spacers fitted to give it a better stance. The wheels are in excellent condition with polished lips and studs with the centres powercoated white. The chassis has been proffesionally lowered using coilovers and the camber settings altered to suit so no wearing of tyres. The tyres are yokohama s-drives with 195/45/15 all round and are like new.I have also fitted the stud conversion to the hubs making it easier to locate the wheels as opposed to the factory bolts.

I have had the number plate valued at ?450 and this is also the original number the car was registered with.

The car comes with a black leather tonneau cover which is in excellent condition and really completes the look of the car with the hood down .I also have with the car a very rare full leather cover to totally cover the interior when the hood is down i have never used this but did try it when i first bought the car and have never seen another one .

I have a certificate from my insurance company valueing the car at ?3500 with an agreed value.

The car has a large service history though not admittedly been all VW and has a load of receipts with it.The car has recently had a new radiator rear exhaust (bosai) o.e and the last original set of VW carpet mats set available from the dealers.

I am looking for ?3500 OVNO but may consider splitting the wheels to sell seperately if this would suit someone who maybe would prefer a different type of wheel.

P M me with any offers or a phone number and i will get back to you or any other questions.

regards Stevie
