Hanging up my Mk1 boots...

Yes the time has come to sell my beloved Mk1, its basically down to the fact that its sitting in the garage and I just simply dont have the time nor the money (credit crunch) to work on her, and soon (credit crunch permitting?) we want to buy a house so it has to go!!!

Also to go is all the Mk1 paraphinalia (parts) that are stored in the garage with her.

Unfortunatley though because I have'nt paid my subscription I cant post any of it up on here!!

Although it is on ebay if anyone wants a look?

Hopefully one day I'll be back when prices of good Mk1's have gone through the roof!!!

But i'll be back from time to time to say hello and have a chat about all things Mk1  :wink:  :cry:

In any case, GOOD LUCK on eBay, judging by recent other members' issues on there you'll need a bucketful of it. The serious point being, all told, this site isn't such a bad place to sell the car once you've considered the costs for the alternatives. You've been around a while and its unfortunate that the membership pack didn't appeal to you enough to dip your hands into your pocket (is ?15 too much?) but maybe, you could join now and use one of the so far unused membership benefits to good effect?

I don't care, I'm impartial, but its worth pondering over surely?

I know what your saying and the club deserves the fee, but I have managed all this time as I've never been a fully fledged partaking member so it would be pointless paying the fee now, when Ive just payed 8 quid to ebay and that has a larger auidence?

Anyway I was not having a go at the club because of that, I have had no gripe with the forum in the 3 and a half years I've been on here, in fact I've met some fantastic people and had some great help.

oh I know, but I had this dilemma about a year ago, and I decided to keep it, but since then it has sat there!! so rather than keep it now I'll sell it to someone who will bring it back to its former glory and enjoy her like I did, she rode very nice!! :wink:
