Reluctant sale of a much loved GTI. I have had the car for 18 months and have had extensive paint work completed, replacement wings, new rear window seal etc. The car is straight and complete and a good runnner although it could do with a service. It has the Campaign boot sticker intact with all of the correct option codes. This is a good honest car and needs litlle doing to bring it up together. The MFA clocks do not work and the oil pressure light flasheswhich is also a common fault with faulty MFA's as the oil pressure is fine. Also, the heater fan is iffy and the wiper motor is a bit sluggish but I have with the car a replacement set of worksing MFA's, wiper motor and mechanism and heater fan. Also, I have a replacement boot strut as the original one on the car istempermental. The car currently has an MDF parcel shelf with Alpine 6x9's, a Sony CD head unit and an amplified Sub, all of which areincluded with the car. I also have the original parcel shelf which has no holes cut in, also included. The only rust I am aware of is a tiny bit of surface rust on the rear valance on the drivers side seam which my painter missed, but it is nothing of significance.
The paintwork is very goodbut the car needs a good polish where it has ben parked on the drive for a couple of months but this is only the roof which is the original paint.
This car is great adn warrants a loving owner. Please bear in mind that it is 27 years old and is not a new car, but it will be sadly missed. Currently fitted with pressed steel German plates but I have what I believe are the original plates with the car.
I have photos, but I have absolutely no idea how to insert them onto this page so I can e-mail them if anyone is interested.
