Golf mk1 1.8 GTi project with 2.0 16v MK3 engine

Here we have my project car. It is a running 1.8GTi.  At the moment its fully stripped down in side, the drivers seat is attached and can be driven but i would advise against at the moment because she has sat for around 8-9 months now.  Last time i started her up she started on the button but was missing slightly, the plugs need a good clean up and she needs to be run for a bit to clear her through. Samco pipes good engine nice and punchy.  I wasn't planning on keeping the 1.8 engine and i have a 2.0 16V from a mk3 golf which comes with the car for an engine swap ECU is here but no loom (was going for ITB).  

The car was owned by a friend of mine who owns an MOT station and garage and the body was stripped down fully rust treated and repaired where needed and resprayed in black with a subtle metallic flake. Mk 3 discs all round including rear discs and coil over shocks, i have keep them greased, also front arms are uprated and lower brace/anti roll bar.  New doors seals, and some new carpet.  Also sunroof which doesnt leak (although i was going to reskin the roof in carbon fibre, check out http://www.performance-trim.com/index.php). Dont think ive missed anything loads of photos of respray and other bits, oh and i little MOT left i think… i will double check!
