Cherished Mk1 Golf 1800 GTI for sale

This is going to be a wrench!….I've decided to sell my Mk1 after 20 years of ownership.  The car is currently off the road [no MOT], but is a runner.  The car is totally genuine, but some restoration is needed and unfortunately, I don't have the time to do it, so I'm looking for someone to buy it & get it back to it's former glory!!

There is lots of history available with this car; details as follows;

- First registered 4th March, 1983; sold from VW Motorworld, Oxford.
- I bought it in Feb 1989, when mileage was 42,000
- I'm the third owner, mileage is now 157,000
- Alpine white, 1800cc
- used for daily commute for 19 years; about 7000 regular miles each year
- never crashed
- serviced myself from about 50,000 mls, always with genuine VAG parts
- interior clean, but some scuffing to driver seat
- most exterior in good condition
- genuine VAG replacement door panels
- some significant rusting to rear arches & rear quarter on drivers side
- also rust to driver side sill [patched with panel for MOT]
- original owners booklet & service book available
