cheap 82 gti in camberley

Hi,

ebaying at the weekend so get in there. Pic shows the car a couple of months ago, the wheels and bumpers are not included. It sits on some steels and stock bumpers are included. The car is an 82 GTi 1.6 4+E '5 speed' with 118k on her.

The Bad.
Paint is OK and original colour but is not great.
The floor has come away from the sill on drivers side due to improper use of a jack.
Rust round rear arches.
No MOT / Tax
Small patch in spare wheel well repaired but not that bad at all.
a little bubbling at lower rear window.
I had to remove the carpet to sort a leak out. but it's all there.
Radiator is dead, as such non runner,  but read on.

The Good.
Head completely rebuilt at Row's in Fleet. New valves seated and head skimmed cleaned & as good as stock with new everything
New radiator ready to be fitted then it is a runner.
New front wing (genuine)
New (well good SH) headlining to be fitted.
New water pump fitted.
New master cylinder fitted
New cross drilled discs and brand spanking race pads.
New clutch
New gearbox seals
Goodridge hoses
New fuel pump
New filter
Filler neck has been replaced, and tank cleaned.
Injectors cleaned

You will have to tow her away but if you had more time than me you could get her up, running & back together in a weekend. Or split-up for others to use as parts

looking for ?300… and the bloody clutch cost this much….but my 67 beetle project forces the Golf out of my hands.

had a PM, raised some Q's so.

"It has had welding to the very ends of the sills, small patches 1-2" square. the rest looks ok except where the floor has come away more due to jack damage but rust is there. The engine has full service history till 90k, and i should have the receipts for the head work and all the GSF visits etc.

To be honest though i am an aircooled man and not so hot on Golfs, by most Beetle standards it's solid enough and apart from the rear arches it looks good. But i am not going to lie mate at is 25 years young and there is almost def going to be patches needed.

And yes it's a sunroof model."
