Beautifully original MK 1 GTi (Non sunroof) FSH

For sale is my beautifully original and pampered Mk 1 golf 1800 GTi, non sunroof model .

She was owned by a farther/ daughter for the first 21 years of her life and I have owned her for the last 6 years. (She changed hands twice in 2004). All the time I have owner her she has been garaged and I'm sure she has always been.

This Mk 1 has full service history, mostly VAG and specialist VW. MOTs from the last 17 years, recipts and even a diary kept by the daughter of the original owner, this car has so much history!

I cannot stress how original this car is (Other than the addition of a CD player, but I may still have the original Blaupunkt head unit) even the speakers are original- no holes in the partial shelf or anything silly like that. One key fits all locks and both sets of keys are present, the spare even has the original dealer number tags still on it! The original spare and complete tool kit is present and the stickers in the boot match the service book.

Mechanically she runs beautifully and is lovely to drive. She has just had a full service and has 12 months MOT. She has 139K on the clock, this is less than 5K per year! Every thing works as it should.

The interior is in very good condition, there is no wear through on the bolsters and the carpets, dash, door cards etc are in excellent condition and as VW intended.

The bodywork is in great condition and has never been restored/ repainted/ welded so you there are no horrors hiding underneath. The body it totally rust free and rock solid with the exception of a 50pence size bubble of surface rust in the front offside wing. There are a few parking dents and a shallow dent in the bonnet.

I have owned 4 Mk1s and this is by far and away the best one. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find un-restored, unmolested original cars. I am in no rush to sell, I just feel that I am not using it enough, will be sad to see her go we have really enjoyed owning her. I am looking for offers in the region of £4499.
