89 Black Golf 1.8 Clipper manual. New Gear Box Roof & Al

This is being sold as it was bought to do up bit by bit and get running for my girlfriend who loves mk1's. Did so much but just dont have the money now, and theres my first little one due in December so would make sense to get rid of some of these things i have lying around.

Since having it i have done the following.

New Roof at £400
New gearbox fitted for £300
New Alloy Wheels having done around 50-100 miles £500
New Brakes front and back
Had the engine rebuilt - but no proof of this other than since doing it it passed the emissions test on the mot which it previously failed
Interior has been steam cleaned and come up really well.
New single lights on the front, debadged grill and bonnet light spoiler
Im sure theres plenty more i just cant think…

The car does have a few issues, but really nothing major
It failed the mot on a few stupid things, these were headlights not correctly adjusted, just need a screw turning. Steering column is a little loose, just needs a tiny spot weld to sort that out. And the rear brakes werent offering enough or as much as they should have been, i changed the drums and shoes, but they said the handbrake didnt hold well enough. Parked on a hill it doesnt move so not sure what they are on about.
And the car was originally white, and sprayed black. They didnt remove the big bumpers to spray the car black, so where the bumpers join the bodywork there are still tiny spots where you can still see the white paint from before. Hardly noticeable from a distance, but a niggly little thing.

All in all i have spent around £1900 buying it, spraying it, and the little bits and bobs..

Im looking for £700 collected which i think is a very decent price, but since im in desperate need of the money i will consider any offers people have. Based near swansea in south west wales, and although car runs and drives fine it will need to be trailored away as it has no tax or mot. I have the v5 and keys for the car.
