86' mk1 golf GTi cab 'cc model'

up for sale is my fairly mint mk1 golf gti, its a 'rare' CC model, which was white from the factory, but its been sprayed fairly well, in a audi coupe off yellow, which makes it stand out, its got 2 months tax left on it and a fresh 12months MOT today, only failing on 1 balljoint!! the number plate is irish, and its OB IO 1554.

now its had its cam belt done, recent (un needed!) head gasket so all new oils and filters, new coolant etc… so should be good for a few more miles, all the brakes have bee redntly done just prior to the MOT, which have only just bedded in, its got new EBC green stuff pads on brand new discs up front and complately rebuilt rear brakes with new drums, cylinders, shoes fitting kit and new bearings/ seals etc…. the engine is sweet as a nut and millage is 163k, so for a 86 its not too bad, it still shifts and sticks to the road well, its lowerd on uprated shockers and shortend springs it also has a frount uper strut brace. its very fast too, and also has a 4 into 1 mainifold.

the hood is mint, looks fairly new and i have a load of recipts think the hood alone was ?900!! it also has a thatcham CAT2 imobilser,

all the windows are tinted bar the windscreen, limo tint in the rear 3 windows, the interior isnt great as it has worn thu on the d/s bolster, and a water mark/stain on the pasengers, other than that its mint inside, but a good interior car shampoo with wet vac would make it mint!

these pics were littrally just taken, as its come back from its MOT, and since the wather was good i thought id get soem pics, i havernt even washed it…

its curently on 14" GM steels, as i like the whole black and yellow theme going on, it does have 4x 15" OZ racing satuns which have fairly good condtion 195x50R15 yoko tyres, and only one wheel has curbing, a 1" long bit, so other than that they are mint, they just need painting black to suit!

the only other negitave about the car is theres one or two areas of rot ont he car, the main one being the d/s door bottom, at the mo it looks ok, but it will need work or a new door in the next few years, as its crusty on the bottom lip, and looking at it, it looks like its bee 'repaird'' before, the only other bit is the d/s rear panel, behind the rear wheel, nothing major just some scabbing. other than the odd stone chip and car park ding the paint is pritty mint, its also very hard to tell the car was once white, as its had all the boot and engine bay painted, so some serious money has been thrown at this car in its life time.

it now also has a decent sony stero with 10 disc changer and 2x 6x9's int he rear parcel shelf. got tonnes of recipts, and ive spent ?300 on it in the months ive owned it.

the car is located in Preston, junction 31A on M6, would be looking for ?1750 ono, or swap p/x (with my ??) for a decent mk4 golf estate, TDi 130 6speed, or possibly bora/new tdi caddy van…. why???

ill be away all weekend at deva, not in this, so vewings from next week, can be arranged, call me on 07760288250 for any other info… but if your just after pics use the above link…
ill take some pics of the bad bits when i next have time, but really this car is 100% mechanically sound, good on fuel and fast!!

cheers
alex.
