77 series 1 project 5 door yellow, timewarp interior ?800

hi!

we have for sale my series 1 mk1 1.5gls auto, minus the engine

basically i bought it about autumn last year with the intension of putting a g60 lump in it

which i have trial fitted as you can see in the pics (ENGINE/BOX NOT INCLUDED) but have since

aquired a new motor for the lump so im afraid it has to go.

Good bits:

it has the best origional interior i have seen, its brown with matching parcel shelf and side supports in colour

the carpet is mint too, there is no bolster wear on any seats!

it has front and rear chrome bumpers both are pitting/rust scabs underneath, they have orig vw end caps though!

its got all the chrome including: chrome handles, windscreen trims, waist door tims, sill trims, grille surround, boot trim

and probably more then i can remember!

its got lots of paperwork inc every mot from 1993 onwards to back up the mileage of 82K

it also has the orig tectyl rust guarantee card and 12 months warantee card (see pics)!!!

it was a swiss import and i have the paperwork from switzerland and dover to verify!

the bootwell is in good nick.

its on coilovers all round

bits you get but dont see are:

front bumper, grille, headlamps, 2x auto starter motors (rare!) and the brake linkage setup!

few wheel bearings new and whatever else you need!



Bad bits:

the engine bay spray was temporary and is not as good as it looks in pics!

the brakes are all disconnected

the body does need work!

it has late front wings (with extra bumper holes)

there is a chip or bubbling on a few pannels

it needs to new sills which are included in the sale, and there are bad bits round the rear

arches, the front panel has come away from inner wing (see pic) there is also a hole in floor

where it was jacked up in the wrong place!

the back panel is sound for its age but its been overpainted at the bottom with black and it chips off!

someone fiberglassed the bottom of the rear arches and its rubbish.

i have tried to be as honest as possible but its best to come take a look!

i could brake it for more then this but would rather see it back on the road!!

it will come on 4x polo steels but only has short cv connected so needs to be trailered only!

the engine is still in it and will hopefully be out before viewing but ask before coming a long way and be disappointed!!
