1988 1.8GTI Cabby in white

?F? reg 1988 VW Golf Cabriolet 1.8 GTI Clipper (I think), 123,000 miles, MOT until August 2009 (will have no problems with next MOT see below for full details), 12 months tax, all white leather seats, BBS alloys wheels, AutoWatch microwave alarm with central locking, all white hood in very good condition with no leaks, power hood and generally in good condition for a 20 year old car.

This car has been an ongoing project since middle of last year and I have various receipts for loads of items, please see below items that have been replaced. (spent over ?4,000 on this car in the last 12 months)

4 good tyres
Recently had car sprayed with an underseal type grease
Re-built top end, new cam followers, 276 degrees cam, pressure tested
Replaced all seals in gearbox due to the vehicle been stored for over 4 years
Clutch

And lots of other little parts too.

The car has been recently serviced with all usual items, plugs, dizzy cap, arm, HT leads, oil, oil filters etc? and runs well.

Outstanding issues.
I only have one items that I know about that will make this a fantastic car:
1. Flashing temperature light.
   Replaced sensor switches however this light always flashes, however it doesn?t overheat or overcool.

Other than that bodywork is in good condition, with a few spots of rust in places but for 20 years old, it?s very good.

Like I say this is an ongoing project and have been driving this for 4-5 months and it?s great, however recent news from my wife indicates that we need a family car, therefore I am forced to sell.
