1984 Rabbit GTi in Black

93,454 miles, MOT until Aug 08, currently SORN'd.

Exterior:
Structure is sound - inner wings, sills, inner arches OK
Rust to right hand wing, bubbling on arches and some areas of rear panel though nothing too bad.
Original Avus alloys
Original front spoiler OK
Original tinted windows
Front fog lights need replacing

Interior:
Seats, carpets, dash and trim very good, headlining needs refixing

Factory options:
All of them: sunroof, front vent windows, air conditioning (needs belt), original radio

Accessories:
Zender roof and boot spoiler and rear panel trim (very '80s!), Electric Life electric windows.

The car has been rust proofed ("Rusty Jones" product) either from new or very early on, and still bears sticker on B pillar.

Originally sold by VW dealer in Chicago. Imported to UK in April 1998. 2 previous UK owners. Car comes complete with original manuals, service book, all previous UK MOTs and tax discs, 2 original keys. Original stickers on B-pillar present.

This is a very rare (in UK) and complete Rabbit GTi with all the original parts there. It would make a sound basis for a simple restoration. I would have loved to keep this rare car, but no time to restore it.
