1984 MK1 Silver VW Golf cabriolet - MUST SEE

Unique Opportunity to buy a real head turner…

Main text:   European style - Respectfully modified. 1.8i gti. 1984 'A' Reg. Single set of headlights. It has plenty of attitude and to see it is to believe - photos cannot do it justice - viewing is highly recommended and welcome! Would suit enthusiasts and new VW lovers alike - car is in perfect working order, ready to drive away, but theres still plenty of things to tinker with! Very sad descision to sell which hasn't been easy - genuine sale - I want to go travelling early 2008.

Cosmetic Modifications include :

Ronal Turbo alloys (worth ?500 atleast)
Sparco Steering Wheel
Exhaust (unsure of make/model- email me if interested and i will find out!!)
No wing mirror on passenger side (european style!!)
New Roof in 2004
Black grill and badge at front
Lowered

Good Points  

*11 months of MOT left - car had lots of work done at a specialist audi & vw garage near wimborne.
*pulls like a train - really nippy & really fun
*Engine is in really good condition - viewing is needed
*4 Good tyres + spare
*Brakes and electrics (totally re-wired) are completely sound
*Around 86,000 miles on clock (doubt its gone around the clock already…)
Paperwork/Receipts
*Reliable - has never failed to start since I bought it.

Bad Points  

There are a few things on the car that either need replacing or tinkering but they are purely cosmetic :

*New digital clock
*Heater needs playing with as it can be quite loud (blows hot and cold air still though)
*Small rip in driver seat.
*Very small amount of new rust - easily treatable
*Clips and poppers for the roof cover.
*Missing a piece of exterior door trim on passenger side as some darling ripped it off last week. Will ensure this is replaced before its sold.

I will be putting the car up for auction on ebay soon but ideally I'd like ?3500 ono for the car. The tax is due on it so can either lower price or include it if car sells for atleast ?3000.
