I have for sale my 1983 MK1 GOLF.

It is originally a 1.3 Driver but has a 1.8 KR 16v engine conversion (has 1.3 on V5)

I bought this car early 2011 in a messy state but the body is in excellent condition and till this day, it's still a solid shell which is rare for golf's this age.

I have spent about £4,000 on this (not including buying car price) The engine bay has been stripped - painted show condition and a few performance upgrades such as K&N Air filter, 4 branch exhaust manifold and full stainless steel powerflow exhaust system custom made.

The car will come without a battery but the engine runs but tempremental in revs whilst warming up as hasn't yet been tuned.

Had hydrolic clutch conversion done (Easier clutch and gear changing - G60 gearbox) Car has solid engine mounts.

About 100k on clock but not sure what the engine mileage is.

Selling as I have no more money for this project hence the bargain low price.

Things needed to do:
Interior (driver seat badly worn)
Drivers door lock
Driver door hinge needs replacing
Front side lights out
Injection system refurb and tune (help engine to run smoother)
Engine head can be rattly
Has no radio/air blowers
Check brakes (in working order but has been stood for a long time)
Respray as paint bubbled in patches and flaked off under rear bumper
Car Battery
Speedo cable
Replace front windscreen due to chip (advisory on last MOT)
FK coilovers needs replacing (advisory on last MOT)
Slight erosion near side suspension area (advisory on last MOT)

Car is currently SORN. Will need to be taken via trailer.

Engine is fired up once every week.

Images taken a not so long ago, image no. 9 was taken about 8 months ago when was on road. Image number 6 + 7 taken early last year whilst was under refurb.

Had been sat off the road for about 8 months due to lack of funds for project. Car hasn't been cleaned for a while so may not be as clean as seen in picutres but engine bay still stands out.

Been honest as possible with description and hope this is a project you are looking for as it just needs some TLC to finish her off.
