I have had to take the decision, not happy, to give up on my project - I HAVE NOT DONE ANY WORK ON IT FOR 2 YEARS. It has been covered up in my garage and could really do with the space back.
V5 shows 1.8gti but I bought it without an engine, it was originally white but previous owner had changed colour to orange, best match I can find is Porsche Continental Orange. The colour is slightly darker than the orange buckets you can buy in B & Q. It is really a striking colour and the colour looks good but will need doing properly.

Most of the welding has been done but needs bit more on end of n/side sill (car was too close to the wall so welder man couldn't get to it then would not come back for a small bit of work). Previous owner had removed spare wheel well and welded a plate over the hole.
New copper brake pipes fitted front to back, original fuel pipes and pump with car but not yet refitted.

Although this is listed as a rolling shell I would say that 90% of the parts you will need are included (except engine and ancilliaries).

£600 for shell and bits.

I have a 1600gti engine and gearbox out of a cabby that I was going to fit, this is available for £50.
Loads of other parts removed from this and other cars in prep to replace,
