1982 2.0 ABF Engined MK1 GTI Unfinished Project













1982 MK1 GTI perfect bodywork (apart from a tiny patch on the drivers door as shown)fully restored and resprayed in original Alpine White by a profesional body shop.         
        
2.0 abf engine (150 bhp)        
        
Cable shift box O2A         
        
Brand new supersprint exhaust system with stainless 4 branch manifold.         
        
Brand new sachs clutch and bosch cam belt (fitted).         
        
Rear disc conversion.         
        
280 mm front brakes.         
        
Brand new fuel tank and filler neck.         
        
All lower arms uprights etc have been powder coated in gloss black and all bearings are new.         
        
All the bushes and rubbers have been replaced with poly bushes.         
        
Interior is mint and has a fresh half leather retrim.         
        
Brand new fk highsport coilovers fitted.        
        
The car sits pretty on 15" bbs rims.         
        
The car does not run as the engine needs wiring in and the fuel system needs finishing (pump and lines) also the car needs a new gearbox mount or the current one needs lowering slightly the cooling system needs fitting and the brakes need caliper brackets for the front and the hard lines fitting, the shifter needs mounting. other than that the car is almost complete and comes with most of the parts needed to finish inc ecu loom coil packs etc as well as loads of spare parts and a file full of recicpts for new parts that are on the car.         
        
The car will make someone a fantastic project and could easily be finished as a show quality car with a little work.        
        
Car has well over 4k invested in parts and bodywork and is priced to sell    @ ?1500
