I am selling my MK 1 Golf Cabriolet, I got her last summer for some summer fun - and boy she didn't disappointment! A real head turner………………

Although the car is in good condition, there are some defects and scratches as you would expect from a car this old. On the outside, Betty has a few scratches on the doors, a small patch of surface rust on the bonnet under the main window and a small scratch on the rear passenger wheel arch.   Other scratches have been repaired and sprayed with repair kit paint, leading to the passenger side looking a bit patchy.  Side trim has popped off but i still have it so should be easy to reinstall. The interior is good considering the cars age, looks to be all original, the plastic trim on the passenger side door is in place but has come away from mounting.

I have recently taken her to a local VW restoration company who have gave her the once over, they were impressed at her condition, with no welding jobs needed!

I have lots of receipts for parts which were replaced, along with original booklets that came with the car when first purchased.

  • Timing Belt replaced at 65560 miles plus full service including replacing plugs/Caps/Leads
  • New Fuel pump fitted May 2011
  • New Petrol tank fitted August 2011, checked Fuel filler neck and replaced seal
  • Replaced Engine and Gearbox Mounts May 2012
  • Pioneer DEH-3400UB installed May 2012
  • Replaced most of the rubber hoses in the engine due to disintegration
  • Regularly serviced
