Cheers JB.  :)

Well as I can't be at the AGM this year I was thinking of treating myself to something other than used, dirty, greasy parts!

You have a great AGM my friend, drink a mineral water for me  O_o and I'll see you on the other side  :)

Hi, well worth the money, I purchased the XL version.
Nice company to deal with, they answered all my E mail queries in English.

Thanks coxi,

Well as I mentioned to JB, not able now to get over for the the AGM. So feeling a little down at the moment.

So I reckon I need cheering up a bit!
Even my Wife agrees I've been a miserable old sod since I found out that I must work instead of driving over for the the AGM.

The crack is, we've been together now for 22 years and she's only just noticed!

Ok I get it now.
So I get one Wind deflector for the real love of my life and an extra one for the other love in my life.

Leave to you all to work that one out, well which is which anyway?

I brought one like this
http://www.ebay.de/itm/VW-Golf-Cabriolet-Mk1-CONVERTIBLE-WIND-DEFLECTOR-wind-stop-screen-Bodi-M-/190588236479?hash=item2c5ff1b2bf

best thing I brought, you can even drive down the motorway with the roof down with out getting your head blown off, my wife likes it because her hair is not a mess when she is in the car. I also found that when the weather gets colder you can still have the the roof down as it stops the cold air getting in about the back of you. A must for any one with a cabriolet, I've used mine for the last 9 years and it still looks like new.

1988 Mk1 Golf GTi Cabriolet 1.8cc DX, K-jet. Daily drive. 317,000 miles and counting
1978 Mk1 Scirocco GLS 1.6cc FR, Webber carb. Weekend toy.

Thanks to you all Guys.
I now ordered the XL from 'Windesa' in Germany who make them.
Ordered it early yesterday morning and by 2:00pm they had emailed me with confirmation of postage.

I hope this stops my Wife's hair being blown around because she's only been in the car with me twice in the year and a half since I bought it. She's not a vain woman but she just can't stand it. Does not even like having a window open in the car!

I'll let you all know what she thinks.

I've been a bit slow updating this but the Wind Deflector arrived in about four days from Bodi.
I must say the English translation of the fitting instructions is a bit iffy but it's not hard to work it out either!
This is the 'Bodi XL', excellent build quality and does what is promises to do.
I paid 145 Euros posted (I think) they sent it DHL and worth every Cent.
Being the XL it covers the rear seat as well, so it stops all the leaves and rubbish from dropping into the back of the car. A real bonus I think!  :ocf_emoticons__eusa_clap:

Looks very sporty and I've had a number of comments from people.
Not the best pics but you'll get the idea.

They are cheaper ones out there but I wouldn't have one if they gave one to me.
The 'Bodi XL' is high quality and you will not be disappointed!

I came back shaking my head in disbelief!  :o
Thanks again to you and the all the others and a big thumbs up for the 'Bodi XL'!

When I got mine they sent me TWO for some reason!!!

At the 21st Anniversary meet in 2004 I held a mini auction and folk were really outbidding each other in the car park for the spare one (who was the lucky winner? I can't remember!!)

Great bit of kit.

Now for the ultimate test.
Taking the Wife to IKEA for the first time since I fitted it.
Originally I only bought it because she Bitcched none stop about the wind in her hair and refused to go in it.

Wish me luck  O_o

This looks a great peice of kit.

When fitting are there any permanent fittings that you have to make incase at a later date it needs to be removed leaving everythig in tact as it should be?

Wouldnt want to cause any irreversable damage.

A side note here.
I had a day off work yesterday and should be there today but the Air-Con has packed up in our office so we got an email first thing to say don't come in today  :)
The temp here will hit 32 degrees today and by Monday 37.
Not had a day under 25 or 26 for at least the last three weeks.  :(

What I'd give for a drop of rain!
