will the mk1 bbs front splitter fit on a mk2?

i've listed my mk1 bbs bodykit on ebay, and somebody is very interested in it but wants to fit the splitter to a mk2 golf…..i figure it will not fit because the mk1 golf appears to be much narrower, is this the case or are my eyes playing tricks on me!!

I doubt it.  It's a wider car.
