why oh why me !

hi all , not only did i have a problem with my drivers door , which is now sorted thanks to the advice i got on here, i now another problem ……a long standing one !!
had my car m.o.t'd in october and asked them to mend my windscreen washer bottle, as it wasnt connected so hence could not wash my windcreen!!  not good in the crap weather we have had… anyway they didnt do and said to book it in again, havent got round to it, but having had a look at it it seems that the wires have no life in them!! ( tested them against the bulb in the front lights) so i bet this is a garage jobbie, a bit too big for me to take on, unless anyone can suggest otherwise? :D
as im getting fed up of pulling over to clear the screen, and im also guessing that it was one of things they should have tested to pass it in the first place ? :?

Yes, should be part of the MOT. Most common failures I have seen are a bad earth on the rosette behind the headlamp or a duff pump. Are you sure you have 12V at the green/red wire with the switch pulled?

At least check the fuse and for 12V before you take it to the garage. I assume you can't even hear the pump working? If the garage fitted a new pump surely they are responsible for fixing the problem in the first place?

Just a quick tip to keep you going meantime. Keep a fairy bottle with water and dilute liquid in the door pocket, roll down the window and you can give it a squirt on the move.

There is a procedure to follow, if you have passed an MoT and believe the car should have failed. I can't imagine it being used that much, though.
