….Clean the head lining of my golf? Its a series 1 mk1 and I think the headlining is leather…. but my man said he wasnt sure…  has anyone got a clue as there is a horrible oil hand print from the boyfriend on it and its annoying me. (:

I have a clipper and it has a white vinyl roof lining, I imagine yours will be leather look vinyl too.

I used cillit bang on mine to clean it, has done a reasonable job but its still a bit grubby. Another good thing to use is vanish washing powder additive made into a paste and applied with a nail brush.

Asdas own brand multi surface cleaner! Works a treat..

loads of different products, jiff now ciff, garden furniture cleaners (plastic) and Swarfega as it does not drip on you with it being jellified lol. Just make sure you have some old terry type cloths as these seem to absorb the muck better when wiping down.
If it is really leather, a good leather cleaner with nourishment food. Maguires and autoglym do a range.

I've been using good old cilt bang. Aint to bad, but it's not amazing, much like the rest of the car!

For an oil based stain i used good old white spirit on a rag. Be careful though and use just enough to shift the stain. The rest of the grubbyness take your pick of the supermarket bathroom cleaners. Good luck.
