What fluid do you put in the power hood system?

I've been trying to track down the correct fluid to top up my power hood fluid.
The stated part number for the fluid is VW G002 500. This was made obsolete by VW in 1996.
I cannot find an alternative/equivelent fluid.
The MK3 uses part no VW G002 000. But I don't know what the mineral difference is and if it's ok to use?

Can anyone please help me out and point me in the right direction!!!!

I used G 004 000 M2 in the mrs cabby.
It is oil for hydraulic system and power assisted steering

Just went to a VW dealer last year and asked what I needed and that is what they sold me :-)

Ade you were right!! Finally get some sense out of my vw dealer today. you were spot on m8 G004 000 M2 is the correct fluid.
