Wet Cabby

Hi All,

Down in Devon we have had a lot of rain at the moment, and I keep getting a drip on both side of my cabriolet roof where the locking handles are.

I have adjusted the J hooks so they are tighter than they were, needs a bit of force when clamping the roof shut. Also I have use a Turle Wax roof treatment, which is supposed to repel water, but hasn't worked on my drip :banghead: . At the moment the best way around the problem, (no disrespect intended ladies)   is to pinch my other halfs tampons. Then wedge them in the gap. I would like to get this fixed, and aviod the embarrassment when people get in my car. Any idea??

Thanks Loads

Check the rubber seals on the door and under where the roof sits I had the same problem with mine as the rubber was worn the water was just pooring in instead of draining away. both pieces were easy to replace Vw still supply the one for the door but its ?75.00 for each door, but got mine off Ebay for ?20 for 2.

Dont think your tampon idea is the best but you made me laugh :D
