welding close to front arb mount - is there a pattern pannel

found some holes in floor just next to front anti-roll-bar mount - there is a raised rectangular section just behind the ard mounting - (running along length of car on either side probably about 20'' long)   what is this and what is it for?… looks a bit bent so presume is has been used for jacking car up at some point…..anyway I have looked at floor repair panels but they do not include this panel that would be welded onto the floor panel???

whats the done thing ??

have searched for last hour on members build threads but cant find anything - my golfs not even that rusty so am sure someone has done this before..

was just about to acid etch whole underbody and found this hole - which just got bigger and bigger!.. now held up till i can work out a good method of repair…

any help appreciasted.. anyone know whatr this section is called…repair sections for sale?..
