Water, water, water...

Hello!

I'm hoping someone may be able to offer some advice… Apologies if there is a post already answering this question (If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be most grateful).

I had the hood of my cabby replaced last month, and my car looks very dashing indeed, even if I do say so myself. The only problem now is, when it rains I have water which fills up in the drivers side footwell. I can't seem to find the source of the problem - I have felt all around the roof and it feels completely dry. I suspect it is coming in where the pedals are.

Can anyone give me any pointers in solving this?

Thank you in advance!

Have you tried looking under the bonnet at the bulkhead area? On each side of the scuttle tray there's a drain hole with a black rubber insert. These easily clog up with bits of leaf and general rubbish. Those being blocked up can explain wet footwells. At least it's only your driver's side getting wet, the passenger side doing that can mean a wet fuse box!

Also check the drainage holes in the bottom of the door.

Right at the bottom at either side will be 2 slits that let the water out, these can sometimes block up.

Dont forget to also do these checks on the passenger side to stop future problems.
