What have you got mate, tin top or cabby?

I've not had a tintop but a few people I know have and I think that's usuall sunroof, could be wrong here though.

Cabby is usually the window seals, or the seal across the top which then comes through the locking mech.

check drainage holes in the rain tray aren't blocked, there should be a hole either side in the rain tray for water to drain down. these are often blocked with leaves etc, which leads to water building up and sometimes creeping in through your heater.

also remove door cards and check the plastic sheet is intact, i have a really small hole in the sheet in my polo and it pours water through. whilst you're checking the doors, check the drainage holes that run across the bottom of the door, if these are blocked water can build up inside the door and leak through into the car.

you could always sit in the car while someone stands outside and pours a bucket of water down the outside of your door, or have them hose the car down and you can then look out for where water is coming in.

a bust windscreen seal and/or rot of the windscreen base/surround could potentially lead to water getting in.

hope this helps.

cheers.

i have this problem but its behind the drivers seat where the passenger in the back would sit.

The carpet near the sills is dry as a bone so its not like its coming through the door. i dont have a sunroof either. only happens on that side aswel :/

usual spots worth checking  (some already mentioned)
rear lights, rear boot seal, drain holes in front skuttle tray, seal around heater blower, any gromments on front panel, corners  of windscreen (can drip straight onto fuse box), plastic membrane in doors, door drain holes,  whereabouts are you ? if you need a hand/ hose pipe let me know.
