Have you checked the drainage holes are clear and all the rubber gromits are in place?

As above, drainage holes are located in the scuttle tray, rubber grommets at either side of the tray, they get clogged and can cause this.

Thanks for the advice I shall investigate tonight.
Although I know its not the drainage holes, checked them. Not to sure about grommets though.
I was just about to fit new carpet as well, drove back from having bumper sprayed water on the floor!!!
Thanks again

If you can't find out why mate find out where the car was parked when it was being sprayed?? Has it been stored somewhere where water has been used??

Hi,
I have a bit of rust under the windscreen seal above the fuse box could this be the culprit? I don't take it out in the rain normally. Is it a windscreen out job?
God they are money pits ha ha.
Thanks

I wouldn't take screen out unless its coming out anyway . And be pepared for it breaking
At first try using silicone sealant or windscreen sealant.

It's one of the usual suspects for leaks

Check the route used for the radio aerial, they are often poked thru an existing grommet and water drips down the cable and follows it into the car above the fuse box. Being Cabrio are you sure its not coming in via a leak on header rail or door /roof seal and dripping on dash/fuse box???

Hi,
I have fitted a new aerial so I shall check that, not to sure about roof door seal I would have thought I could see it dripping in there?
Thanks

Did you solve this problem?
Ive also got rust stains above the fuse box….
Ive had to replace the fuse box already, cleaned the rain tray and all drainage holes but it still leaks.
Im now half tempted to hole the windscreen and get a new one off insurance to to get the seal around the screen redone… naughty I know :/
I was also thinking of using stonechip spay to spray the whole rain tray just to be sure its not leaking from anywhere that I cant see.

is it an original windscreen? if not sometimes they can be a poor fit and cause water to leak in apparently

I've just had my seal replaced on mine. Was told I had no rust at all under seal. I'm going to clean the whole scuttle on the weekend and try seal and look to be holes with silicon. It's becoming a right pain in the rear now

Hi, I put a little sealant round the bottom of the rubber, u can't see it and it works fine, but I have just had to cut the scuttle out of my mk1 caddy and replace with one from a cabby it's a nightmare lol.
Good luck.
Cheers
