washer jet

hi,
this probably seems easy enough, but i need a new washer jet and the only place i found one is off GSF, but they list as
slot fitting
x-fitting
im not sure what mine is, as the hole in the bonnet is in the shape of a + rather than an x, but the jet itslef is not.
it obviously slots through the bonnet but its not in the shape of an x. there is a small "stay" tag on the washer but still not sure

its a 1980 golf N

I would hazzard a guess that a + on its side kind of looks like an x ??
