waistline trim ... how to remove?

sorry guys ive searched high and low, ive got some chrome trims ready for my mk1 but upon taking one of my old black ones off i have snapped one of the clips and i just wanted to make sure i was doing it right, can you literally just pull them off or is there a special method?

You should be able to pull them off but the plastic clips are probably 20+ years old….

you can buy more clips on ebay for like 3.99

what trim are you removing - i may be interseted if it aint damaged lol

yep snapped ALOT of them lol cheers for the help guys! sadly my mate got rear ended in his cab so i swapped the chromie grille and swage lines for my black stuff WIN!
