vw want to pull my pants down to pay for my wheel arches!!!

can anybody out there please tell me where i can get some good quality front wheel arches (plastic not fiberglass) for my sportline as vw want me to re-mortgage my house to pay for some originals.

its currently undergoing a re-spray and will look fantastic when done but these wheel arches are starting to hold it up!!

at a rough guess from my mate buying a similir sort of trim for his i would say about 20-30ish per corner?
am i correct?

nope your way out buddy, they want 124 quid plus vat each!!!! it's just the wheel arch section of the trim that i need, un painted if possible.

i can find out a price for you, i didnt realise they were that much each!!! next time i see some at a show im having them! i got a genuine complete rear bumper in inca blue for a ?10 the other day  which i was happy about

Are you on about the inner arch plastic covers or the outer ones which sit on the lip of the arch itself and cover the whole arch..

As i didnt think VW did these anymore anyway.
While on the subject does any one know said part no for the complete plastic arch covers as i have a set but cant find no part number on them. :dontknow:

they will more likely be the cheap brittle italian copies of the originals, not as flexible and the rears are poorly shaped and different finish on them, they dont fit very wel at all either! the post above refers to clipper arches from a later cabrio like these

hey no worries, i do need to order them by tomorrow at the latest as its sat in the spray shop waiting for them and i'm gagging to get it back.

are you on msn? it's a k reg sportline but it was partailly modded (not very tastefully) when i bought it. i've now changed it but to my tastes, i'll send you a picture if you like?

bit better price! but vw aint got none!!! part numbers are 155853718B GRU & 155853717B GRU ?105 -20% + VAT 8O  i saw a whole genuine kit on ebay in blue for ?100 yesterday, maybe better to get that? atleast you will have some spares

Nice one, thats a result then, im sure someone will want the spare bits you dont need, if you want to post a pic all ya need to do is join photobucket or simmilar, its easy and free and you just upload images from your computer onto there, it basicly just stores your images but allows you to post them elsewhere, its very straight forward,and you just click copy on the file pic and then just paste the linky to here under you text etc, and your pic will appear, its easy, even i manage it!
