Unwanted Beesting

I am in the process of restoring my Mk1 and have a bought the car with a retro fit beesting .. not a modification I am partially to first of all
Can this be removed?
Has anyone done it before?
And how much would it cost?

I presume it is on the roof? If it is it can be removed nice'n'easy. Patching the hole is the trickier bit. Shouldn't cost much to get it done at a body shop properly. Might be tricky to match the paint though depending on how faded etc the original paint is…
