sticky accelerator medal

As the title suggests i have a sticky accelerator pedal, its ok once i pass the initial touch, but trying to drive slow is very jerky, its near on impossible to drive slowly without keep dipping the clutch and revving the engine, i would say it may need lube, but what bits would need attention, and with what lube?

Not much in the way of levers, but there is a big cable there. I have had a bit of success (albeit with a speedo cable) by taking it off, then gradually pouring a light oil, for example cycle oil, down the outer sheath. I'd grease the moving parts in the accelerator pedal with white grease, which is non-runny.

Check the throttle stop on top of the throttle body. Mine was screwed out as far as possible and was not stoppong the throttle mechanism, the cable was doing that. Result was a bit of a jerky throttle and almost on-off effect when gentle pressed at low revs. Screwing the throttle stop in enough so that the throttle mechanism rested upon it solved the problem.

Put another cable in - cheap and easy to do.
