Easy to to do! Remove centre cap of steering wheel (prise out if a GTI one) then just one large nut in moddle to undo.

Its a big-un - from memory 32mmm?? I had to buy a big socket from Halfrauds to do it. Will be tight too so you may need someone to hold the steering wheel whilst you undo it.

Easy tho

listen mate, even I managed to do it, so that tells you everything!

just fiddle around with different sockets, but it is easy.

It will be a tight fit so i socket is best advised not an open ended spanner etc.

a tip…

The wheel will probably be stuck on the splines of the steering column quite hard so you'll need to knock/bash the wheel off with your hands while sitting in the drivers seat. Leave the nut on a couple of turns to avoid the wheel hitting you in the face when it comes off.

Its 24mm nut

Put the steering lock on while you undo the nut, but straighten up the wheel before you remove it from the splines

Easy
