Soft Top

Dear All

Please could you give me some advice on the best place to buy a new soft top for my D reg Mk1, I am looking for a blue top as I want to keep the car as original, I would appreciate any tips / advice that you can give me and also a guide as to what sort of price I should expect to pay, I am fairly handy so will be able to fit it myself

Look forward to your replies

I do wish people would fill in the 'location' part under their avatar.

Where are you based? That way we can give decent advice.

There are lots of companys on ebay, search golf hood

If you cant find the colour you want send them a email and most of them can get other colours.

Had a issue getting a grey mohair, all sorted now, and being fitted next week

I've just ordered a genuine grey vinyl one to replace the existing one from teh acrhood warehouse.

It was ?295 inc. vat fitted at their premises in Surrey or an extra ?60 for them to come to the house in Milton keynes to fit it. Perfect.

Roof price was ?125 on its own. Add an extra ?70 for a mohair one.

They can also recommend fitters in your area if you're not nearby.
