Side stripes correct widths?

Hello

I'm planing to apply side stickers on my golf GTI and i'm not sure abouth the correct width for my year. I heard that there are some diferences depending on the date of production. I mean the two stipes on the sides. The uper wider than the lower. Mine is a gti mk1 produced in october 1980. Das someone know the widths, uper, gap, lower strip i should apply, and posible diferences in original widths depending on date of mnf.

There is no diff when it comes to year of manufacture for the mk1 they are all the same the only confusion came from the introduction of the early mk2's where they had very similar stripes but with diff dimensions.

It was the upper silver side stripe fitted just beneath the black moulding that changed widths in May 1983 (from VIN 17D721182) from 10 to 8 mm.

The lower side stripes are 46 and 10 mm and had a grain texture from October 1981 (from VIN 17C199092).
