Series 1 Gti Interior
Looking for some advice regarding a full interior that I have. After breaking my series 1 Gti and selling most bits of I still have the original black/green tartan interior. Both front seats and rear bench. As with most of them the drivers side bolster has worn, both the foam and material. I have recently seen an advert on ebay where someone is selling a single seat and I am thinking of going down the route of refurbing the interior to sell as a full set.
I have read on here that the MK3 Polo seat bolster is the same as the MK1? Is this correct and is it any particular model within that range? (GTi eg)
Apart from the side bolster the rest of the interior is in very robust condition but I intend to turn the material inside out to put the non fade stuff on the outside. Is it possible to do this with the non tartan material on the side and base bolsters?
Many thanks for your help

Yes you can flip all the fabrics, though often the bolster fabrics are worn through. The black fabric has orange trace threads running through it that will need unpicking. It's a very time consuming task to unpick all the stitching.

I was positive I had seen a post claiming that Polo Mk3 seat bolsters were the same as the Mk1, but even from the post in mk1 chat section it looks like the bolsters between series 1 and series 2 are different!
Luckily the seat foams are in great condition, as always it is only the drivers side bolster that is worn and the fabric worn through too.
Might have to look at retrimming the bolsters in a different (but similar) fabric.
