seatbelts question for the buffers!
I got a set of early 3door door cards but one thing ive noticed is that the rear quarter card dont have the usual cut out for the seatbelt scroll, there isn't even a slot for a belt to go through. Does this sugest that some early mk1's didnt have seat belts fitted or maybe they were an optional extra?? can anyone shed any light ……?

I assume you mean the rear cards, behind the front doors. The seat belt is on the front lower corner, and doesn't go through the card, there is a corner 'missing' from the card, if you can imagine. It has its own little cover.

Yea i know, thats what im talking about there isn't a bit 'missing', the rear card just goes straight across at the bottom with no cut out for a front seatbelt scroll. :dontknow:

Yep, just checked on ETKA. Firstly, is it definitely for a 3 door? Its possible you have a rear door card from a 5 door, it would be a similar item but slightly longer and without the cut out, because the 5 door's front seat belt was within the B-pillar. Secondly, does it have a recess, like an armrest thing?

Their definatly not 5 door one because they dont have screw holes for the handle, window winder or cut out for the opener. I'll take some pis & post them up tomorrow.
