SEAT REPLACEMENT OR JUST THE FOAM AND CLOTH - HELP PLEASE

Hi, I've got the same old problem as every body.  My drivers seat base has a small split at blister and the foam is failing.

Would it be best to just buy a good passager base and do a straight replace and is this either possiable?
Are left and right base parts the same. Someone told me that they are, so I would like to get this confirmed.

OR

Is it just as easy to replace the foam and coth. - Do they come off easy and replace ok?

Any help would be most welcome.

New seat foam is approx £70 from the dealers so if you are on a budget maybe best looking for a used base. Im pretty certain both sides are the same.

I assume your refering to the complete base and not just the foam? If its the complete base you could swap but the backrest adjuster would be facing the drivers door and the seat belt fixingwould also be om the wrong side.
