Saggy Doors

Hi Gents,

As the title suggests my Mk1 has saggy doors, so much so you can notice the mis-aligned side stripes.

I have tried fitting new striker pins and have had to fit new locking mechanism but this does not help.

Does anyone know if there is a proven method of getting them to line back up properly?

following an over enthusiastic opening , the drivers door on my mk1 caddy decided to drop at the tail by quite a large margin. a good manly upward "tweak" to the rear edge with the door just open soon brought things nicely back into alignment! lift the door at the bottom with a big wad of rag (to save your skin or paint….depending which needs protecting the most!). assuming your door has drooped at the rear , this may be worth a go?

could be the door hinges are worn, not a fun job. lower one is usually the one that goes.
